Nick & Dad

The GunGuyTV Crew

There is really only one person on our production crew other than myself.  That would be my terrific son, Nick.  Here’s a little about us.

The Gun Guy:

Joel Persinger.

Among other things, he is a NRA certified law enforcement firearms instructor and has taught thousands of people how to shoot.  He believes there are two things you don’t leave home without, a Bible and a gun.  He is an avid hunter, martial artist, photography buff and devoted family man.

Joel has been shooting since he was five.  His father was a deputy sheriff and an avid hunter.  Joel is a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), ASIS International, and San Diego Infragard.  He is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of KBTN Inc., a San Diego based security and law enforcement training company.  Joel has run security departments as a Director of Security; served on executive protection teams protecting high net-worth clients; provided security for hostile employee terminations; and apprehended felony bail fugitives on a fugitive recovery team.

As an instructor, Joel is certified by:

He also holds basic firearms instructor certifications for civilian shooters with the National Rifle Association, a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and is a certified instructor in Combat Eskrima (Filipino Martial Arts).

Big Nick.

He has been a successful competitive shooter, both a college and high school athlete and a skilled martial artist.  He’s also getting ready to start his own YouTube channel.  Among other things, he loves playing basketball, shooting, hunting, playing video games and working with kids.  In his spare time, what little he’s got of it, Nick coaches AAU Boys Basketball.

GunGuyTV Cameraman Nick Persinger
Big Nick, the GunGuyTV Cameraman, got out from behind the camera to shoot an SKS rifle during a video shoot in the California desert.

He’s our gentle giant, but he’s tough as rocks and is one of the best shots we know. He loves his family and he loves the Lord.   Like his dad, he believes that a Bible and a gun should be every man’s constant companions.
